New Staff Alert

Introducing Mrs. Victoria Madden

The winds of change are blowing at the Center for Cognitive Therapy and Assessment’s Old Town office!

We are thrilled to welcome Licensed Professional Counselor Victoria Madden to our full-time staff team. A jack of all trades, Victoria has over 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families. She specializes in using cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy to help clients explore the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop effective coping skills. Victoria has extensive experience working with substance abuse disorders, stressors faced by military families, legal issues, post-traumatic stress, self-harm, depression, anxiety and mood disorders, chronic mental health issues, and co-occurring disorders. As a Nationally Certified Custody Evaluator and a Nationally Certified Parent Coordinator, Victoria also works to support families after a divorce and provides expert testimony as needed.

Victoria has quickly and seamlessly integrated the CCTA team and has marked us with her warm interpersonal style, team-playing approach, and her witty sense of humor (with a healthy lick of sarcasm). We also love her affection toward all living beings big or small! When asked about what she was most excited about in this new position, Victoria shared, “I am really looking forward to working with colleagues to develop an emotion regulation skills group for children, as well as a group to address childhood ADHD.” In reflecting on her therapeutic style, she stated, “I am eager to use my fun and engaging personality to make the therapeutic process enjoyable for all ages. My flexibility coupled with my clinical knowledge allows me to easily move between working with adults and kids. I thoroughly enjoy addressing the unique characteristics of the different stages of life.” When asked about what she is most excited about in joining CCTA, Victoria said, “I look forward to building strong relationships within the community so that I can provide clients with a wraparound approach and meet community needs. I am also looking forward to expanding my work surrounding grief so that I can better support those dealing with loss. Furthermore, I am considering helping clients experience the healing power of animals by utilizing my Irish Wolfhound in sessions.”

Welcome to the team, Victoria! We look forward to working together in supporting our community!
