Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and developmentally informed. Dr. Green-Oakes draws from evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care and tailors each intervention to meet the unique needs, life stage, and goals of the individual or family. Whether supporting a child through emotional regulation, helping an adolescent explore identity, or guiding an adult through major life transitions, she is committed to creating a safe and affirming space for healing and growth.
Dr. Green-Oakes also specializes in comprehensive psychological assessment for clients of all ages. She uses a strengths-based approach to provide diagnostic clarity and actionable insights into emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges. Her evaluations are designed to support treatment planning, educational accommodations, and personal or professional development.
Dr. Green-Oakes brings both clinical insight and lived experience to her work with communities of color, particularly those from historically marginalized backgrounds. She is attuned to the unique cultural and systemic stressors her clients face and is especially passionate about supporting first-time therapy seekers, those carrying intergenerational burdens, and individuals navigating complex personal or cultural identities.
Dr. Green-Oakes earned both her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA.
