Susannah Harrison, M.A., LPC has over twenty years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families within independent school settings as a mental health counselor. She completed her master’s degree in counseling at Boston College, and was a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Atlanta for six years before relocating Virginia in 2004. She has been working with adolescents in private practice for 8 years.
Her clinical areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, substance abuse, school refusal, ADHD, learning differences, sexual abuse, self-harm, divorce and grief/loss. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat depression and anxiety in children and adolescents and her clinical work is primarily comprised of cognitive-behavioral and family systems theories.
